As Paul Burgin paraphrased Harold Wilson on his blog, Mars Hill, "Two years is a millennium in politics", yet it already seems clear to me that Barack Obama will win the Democrat nomination for President of the United States. However, due to his inexperience, I also believe that his likely running-mate for the Vice Presidency will be Hillary Clinton to create what is known in American politics as a balanced "dream ticket" with the African-American male Obama's youth, energy and charisma being complemented by the Caucasian female Clinton's experience and political knowledge. It also helps the Democrats that both candidates share similar "centrist" political worldviews.
