Quote of the Day 25.1.2008: Across The Pondlife
"Express yourself: (heterosexist, racist, misogynistic or otherwise bigoted comments are subject to deletion)" - the oxymoronic comment moderation policy of the self-confessed Godless Liberal Homo, America's answer to Cllr Terry Kelly
Maybe "Ultimate" Warrior had a point when he made his infamous claim that "queering doesn't make the world work" (at least in the U.S. - we in Britain have the good fortune of having Derek Laud stand up for some much-needed common sense and sanity).

Quote of the Day 12.2.2008
"WWE is the McDonald's of the wrestling industry... mega successful by mass producing a subpar product and marketing it to the uninformed. They aren't going to compromise profit to improve quality." - The Ripper on the Wrestlingfigs.com Forums
Vince McMahon Is A Spiteful, Mean-Spirited Cunt!
At AAA's Rey de Reys show on March 16, they're going to be inducting Eddie Guerrero into their Hall of Fame. Vickie Guerrero wanted to do the honors of inducting Eddie, but WWE isn't allowing her to attend. Right now, AAA is talking with one of Guerrero's brothers.
For crying out loud Vince, Eddie was Vickie's husband. She married HIM, not your isolationist company with it's corporate dogma and fascist obsession with command, control and the destruction of everything outside of it's orbit.
It was bad enough that Vince exploited Eddie's death during 2006 in the most tasteless way possible by claiming he was "down there" in hell. Have some bloody compassion for his widow! The only reason she has decided to put up with your crap is because she just wants to provide for her two children and keep a roof over their heads.
FUCK YOU McMORON!!!

Bobby Lashley Quits WWE
The Emma-lousie Fenton of professional wrestling Bobby Lashley has quit World Wrestling Entertainment. Despite his problems in communicating using the English language (is anyone a "bathturd"), greenness in the squared circle and effeminate voice, Lashley was one of my guilty pleasures and I appreciate his hard-hitting style of wrestling (so long as he was carried by a decent opponent during his matches). The former U.S. Army Sergeant and World Military Games Silver Medallist now plans to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts.

Congratulations Chavo!
Congratulations to Chavo Guerrero (the nephew of the legendary, late great former World Wrestling Entertainment Champion Eddie Guerrero) on becoming the new EXTREME Championship Wrestling World Champion. He may have won it with a TNA-style main event screw job against the great defending champion CM Punk, but I don't care! Chavo is a great wrestler and I'm glad that WWE is finally giving him the recognition that he deserves for his years of hard work and sacrifice. Like his deceased uncle, Chavo is a performer who has the innate ability to connect with wrestling fans both as a fan favourite and a rule-breaker.Monday, December 03, 2007
He's Back And Burning As Bright As Ever
One of the greatest professional wrestlers ever Kenta Kobashi made his return to the ring yesterday after being out of action for over eighteen months due to the effects of his operation in the summer of 2006 for cancer of the kidney.
KOBASHI-SAN IS INDOMITABLE!!!

John "Bradshaw" Layfield - A Class Act
A fight broke out backstage last night in Wichita, Kansas after SmackDown! was taped. After the show was over, JBL gathered a number of WWE superstars together, including John Morrison, The Miz, MVP, CM Punk, and Matt Hardy.
JBL berated Miz and Morrison for their color commentary work on ECW. JBL was furious that the two made Punk look bad with their commentary. They were heels and were supposed to criticize Punk in a heel way, but JBL felt they went too far with it. JBL then yelled at them for their ring work during their match with MVP & Matt Hardy. JBL told Miz & Morrizon to apologize to Punk, MVP & Hardy for making all 3 of them look bad.
The Miz apologized, but Morrison told JBL “F*** you, it's none of your business”. He then said he would appoligize to Punk, Hardy & MVP, but not because JBL told him to.
The confronation went back and forth until Morrison shoved JBL. Several agents broke up the dispute before it got further than a shove.
Bravo to JBL for standing up for three of WWE's brightest hopes. Morrison on the other hand is an arrogant cunt.

Quote of the Day 13.12.2007
"I do NOT tolerate political-correctness and moral relativity when I discuss ideas that actually have to do with making life work; in my opinion, these are the two gravest dangers mankind faces today. There is a radical over-sensitivity today to the use of certain words and what "concepts" those words actually mean and represent. I don't pay attention to that sensitivity. I believe words mean things and I don't compromise what their meanings are. I do not pull my verbal, worded punches when I opine on ideas and issues." - "Ultimate" Warrior

Quote of the Day 10.11.2007
"Sometimes I think Mrs Thatcher is a nice kind sort of woman. Then the next day I see her on television and she frightens me rigid. She has got eyes like a psychotic killer, but a voice like a gentle person. It is a bit confusing." - Adrian Mole (or was it Johann Hari or Paul Burgin?!?)
Sounds like my kind of politican; she is one of us! Bobby Lashley take note; this is how a soft-spoken person intimidates others.

Bathturds?!?
The current Facebook profile photograph of an acquaintance of mine (who just happens to hate my guts) reminds me of the former ECW World Champion Bobby "Bathturd" Lashley's entrance pose. Normally, I wouldn't bother posting about something as trival as people posing in front of cameras, but for some months, Bobby Lashley has reminded of this acquaintance in three ways. Firstly, there are both soft spoken individuals. Secondly, they both lack a personality (no doubt because of their soft spoken natures), and finally, for reasons that elude me completely, I mark out like a schoolgirl for these two. I call this the Batista Effect, after another prowrestler called Dave Batista.
The Batista Effect is when you admire, care about, cheer for and love someone or something in spite of their obvious flaws. It is well known that Batista can't cut a decent interview to save his life, nor is his even a good wrestler, yet people still go ape shit for this guy because he possesses some kind of intangible character trait that enables you to look past his many failings. Batista has it, so does Hulk Hogan, but John Cena doesn't. Lashley and my acquaintance definitely have it, which why I can look past Lashley's lisping mic skills and my acquaintance's mean-spirited bitching about people she doesn't like behind their backs.
Perhaps Lashley and my acquaintance are distant family relations?

Finally.... CM Punk Captures The ECW World Heavyweight Championship Thanks To Drug Scandal
How ironic, the clean-living Straight Edge hero CM Punk finally defeats ECW World Champion John Morrison to grab the gold after Morrison was caught up in a drug scandal along with nine of WWE athletes. I bet Punk's critics backstage such as Arn Anderson and Finlay are furious!
Well Done Punk!

The Chris Benoit Saga
Last month, I wrote on this blog that I would post my comments on the deaths of Chris Benoit and his family after their toxicology results were published. They have just been released and after reading the summary, I will finally give you all my take on this situation: God bless Nancy and Daniel, but Chris is a child-killing, wife-murdering piece of scum and a cowardly cunt!

Nine Times The King As Angle Becomes A Double Champion

I haven't really paid much attention to recent developments within the wacky world of professional wrestling this past week due to the Chris Benoit saga. As such, I have only just found out that my favourite prowrestler Kurt Angle defeated his old rival Brock Lesnar in just over ten minutes during the main event of the first Inoki Genome Federation show that was held at the Tokyo Ryogoku Kokugikan on June 29. Angle made Lesnar submit to his trademark Ankle-lock to capture the IGF version of the International Wrestling Grand Prix Heavyweight Championship. The victory makes Angle a nine-time World Champion and a reigning double Heavyweight Champion. It also Angle's third Heavyweight Title reign in the past two months. During his near-nine-year career, Angle has held SIX different versions of the World Heavyweight Championship (WWE Undisputed, WWE World, WCW, TNA, NWA and IGF/IWGP) and I don't need to remind readers of his accomplishments at amateur level.

Shock
I would like to express my shock and horror over the deaths of professional wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy and their seven-year-old son Daniel. I would like to write more on this very upsetting story, but I will refrain from doing so until the autopsy reports have been released before I make clear my true feeling about Chris.

Kurt Angle Regains The Title He Never Lost!
After being stripped of the brand-new TNA World Heavyweight Championship, my favourite professional wrestler Kurt Angle regained the gold last night when he won the King of the Mountain Match to become a two-time TNA World Champion. It is also Angle's eighth reign of as a prowrestling World Heavyweight Champion and except him to remain the champion until TNA's flagship pay-per-view Bound For Glory in October when he is likely to drop the belt to Samoa Joe.
